I can't stand the Peyton Manning Nationwide commercials. And, they are on way too often.

I dislike the one with Joan Lunden and "taking care of Mom."

I do agree, celebrities are used in commercials because they are celebrities. However, I don't think any less of Tom Selleck because he's doing a commercial.

Everytime I see some of these commercials, it just makes me wonder. And Tom Selleck doing commercials promoting reverse mortgages! Now that is “serious business,” putting your stamp of approval on such a big step for seniors.
My question: Do any of these people ever have enough money? I guess the answer is obvious.

Their job is done.

Their job isn't done until we buy what they're selling. Until then they're just highly paid spokespeople.
Selling the product is the job of SALES.
Marketing is creating the need & brand awareness.
We're talking about it so...they're marketing is effective.

Everyone always wants/needs more financial security.
What's wrong with that?
And define 'enough.'

Obviously “enough” is relative. Money to support a lavish lifestyle, an estate, and money to be handed down to generations would be more than “enough” for me. And to quote a sermon I once heard, have you ever seen a hearse followed by a U-Haul full of money? I know you might have a hard time challenging that statement. Even you.

Ok, Karen.
Just seems weird imply these actors have 'enough' without exactly knowing what their estate or bank account shows. I, personally, will always want to invest for more financial security...up until the day I die. Fool if you don't.

I agree. Commercials are commercials, there are too many of them and none of them is what I would consider 'good. That said, you lost me at flipping over to QVC, whicn is just one endless commercial...
