Re: Celebrities, realized how much I read about them

@Snowpuppy That's because you don't read enough about celebrities! LOL

What went wrong with the Andrew thread?

@Tinkrbl44   Is it gone??

All I know is that one poster started in about Harry and Meghan with the usual slam against them-that Meghan must be bothered because the attention isn't on her and some other nonsense.

As usual-off topic, no relevance to the story, and a major *yawn*.

If you think celebrities or wanna be famous people post anything or are "seen" in public(of course where they will get photographed and probably paid for it) without it benefiting them, than you are blind to the "contacts" you supposedly know. It's all a constant money making machine & to believe otherwise is not opening your eyes to the truth.

Funny,  you have plenty of accusations but just couldn't answer a simple question.  I refer to post #10.

Photos are taken, and comments are made online, and you insist the subjects are paid for every single one .... and I've never heard of such a crazy thing.  WHO is tallying up all these photos and comments and WHO is paying all these payments out?

How often are payments made?  Do the actors get 1099s every year for all these so-called payments?

If actors got paid every time someone said something about them, no one would ever have to actually get an acting job.    They all would have plenty of money.

Since you claim to know so much about the industry, this should be an easy question for you to answer.

I really don't follow any celebrity news.  I do get tired of hearing about Prince Harry - that's about it.

Re: Celebrities, realized how much I read about them

I hear about celebrities here and there. It's kind of nice to know who the current musicians and hearthrobs are. Look at me dating myself by writing "hearthrobs." If I don't pay any attention to it I'll think I'm being cool by referring to One Direction lyrics and thinking everyone still finds Leonardo DiCaprio a hottie. No one calls anyone a hottie anymore either.

I don't think there's any particular morality involved in avoiding celebrity gossip or enjoying it or not caring about it. It's kind of a neutral activity like following or not following sports. Some do some don't, personal choice.

I get all my celebrity news here and that's probably enough for me.

Good points .... I guess I don't follow "celebrity news" enough.

I was looking at a People magazine recently, and was shocked at how many people in it were totally unfamiliar!   I kept wondering "who ARE these people?"   LOL  Woman LOL

Me too. Sometimes they've already come and gone before I learned their names. Woman LOL

Re: Celebrities, realized how much I read about them

I occasionally hear celebrities if it's on the news. In the bygone days, I used to see pictures of movie stars who I'd admire for their fancy clothes, hairstyles, pretty jewelry, etc. Women were classy and men were dapper. I remember reading Teen Beat and my friends and I would swoon over teen heartthrobs. Today, I can't stomach all the plastic surgery looks, b00bs hanging out, hair extensions..it doesn't seem real. I really miss when Hollywood glamour was truly glamorous. Admittedly, I will think of a movie or tv star and wonder what ever happened to them and Google them only to find out they've passed on, had a tragic ending or became a recluse.

I don't care!!! Same with the royals--I simply don't care--never have----all are so far removed from my life---have NOTHING to do with it-----am sorry to hear the passing of a few of them but really---I don't care!!! 🤷🏼‍♂️
