Just celebrated my birthday last week (the 12th) doing dinner out. Then went to Macy's and bought a new robe (on sale). Great buy!

My husband's b-day is one month before mine. We go out to a nice fine dining restaurant midway between the two. A nice tradition, for us.

We generally just go out to dinner with the kids...I do not like surprise parties at all.

I enjoy a lunch or dinner out. Sometimes a shopping trip.....a new purse or a pretty pair of shoes are a special touch but not both...........usually I treat my dogs to their favorite meal on my birthday too.....
