I have a FB friend who lives where his office is. It's huge, of course, on their news media. His office is closed, phones disconnected and police making sure no one vandalizes the place or burns it down.
I can't imagine him being able to practice in that area ever again. But he could probably move to Alaska, Wyoming, Montana or other hunt-happy states with no problem.
OTOH, as much as I dislike the whole idea of hunting for sport (and I'm not crazy about hunting, period), I would think that 90% of hunters would want to totally distance themselves from him and what he did. But I'm sure there are 10% that think he did nothing wrong.
pood's post says why I find the man an utterly disgusting creature - and liar. I don't care what he claims, he's a liar. He was caught and prosecuted/fined for doing in the US just what he did in Africa.

I'm bothered by it like everyone else. I don't approve an illegal hunt. I also don't approve of Trial & Sentence by Internet/Social Media.
Just like Mr. Kimmel said...this needs to be handled lawfully....not handing out home addresses.
And handling it lawfully will be a deterrent? He is a felon. That didn't stop him from repeating the exact same behavior in another country.

He is a liar. They tried to get rid of the GPS device on the lion's collar when they realized who they'd "bagged." And there is no way the dentist didn't know the lion was lured out of the preserve. I don't believe that for a minute. "Hey, guys, why is that big hunk of meat tied to the back of your jeep?"

@NoelSeven And now Sidsmom is here to argue about it and get this thread taken down too
She's obviously in the minority here.
We already lost the thread that had all the links to the petitions.

There was conversation today between Oceantown and me about "crossing the line" in this thread. This, making public his home address, crosses the line for me. If any one of his family members gets hurt from this exposure, the fault will belong to Mia Farrow.

I agree he doesn't seem to have a conscience. He only cares because he got caught. I think he views himself as entitled. He does what he wants and doesn't bother with rules cuz they don't apply to him.
He's been convicted of fishing without a license. He killed a bear outside of the accepted hunting area, then lied about it. When caught, he paid $3000. Why would he care about that when he paid $50,000 for this lion's head? What kind of a deterrent was $3000 for him?? He also settled a sexual harrassment case out of court and paid $127,000.
Just doesn't seem like a trustworthy, upstanding community member to me.
