As I said before a sensible person would think long and hard before commiting to sitting in his chair and allowing him to make physical contact.

This statement is ridiculous . . . if you are going to disparage the man, at least do not make things up.  There is NOTHING to indicate he is going to do anything "physical" to a patient.

I've never gone to a dental appointment when he hasn't made physical contact with me. He always touches my teeth and gums - always (although he wears rubber gloves of course, ever since the AIDS breakout in the 1980s).

Your dentist doesn't make physical contact with you? How does he examine your teeth?

Exactly. Unless there's new technology I don't know about all dentists touch the patient.

And, in the kids' toy bin, he has a few Beanie Babies, soon to be joined by Cecil.

I think the man is scum but, he had numerous employees who I'm sure depend on their jobs.

There are enough crazies around so I'm betting he'll gain some new patients through his notoriety.

Yes, one of whom he Sexually Harassed, was charged, and settled out of court rather than face trial.  That is a matter of public record.  GREAT boss.

For those who don't get that he broke a law check this out.

The Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora (CITES) entered into force in 1975, and became the only treaty to ensure that international trade in plants and animals does not threaten their survival in the wild. A State or country that has agreed to implement the Convention is called a Party to CITES. Currently there are 181 Parties including the United States.

This covers importing parts of animals or plants covered under CITES into the US.

The CITES treaty was adapted from the Lacey Act of 1900.  So it's been black letter law for 115 years.  Ignorance of the law does not make one innocent.   Paying someone else to break a law on your behalf does not remove responsibility.

Like it or not, don't care about Cecil, sick of it, meat eater, hunter, whatever, matters not to me, but in no way is this man innocent.  He may get away with it, but he still broke the law in this country and in Zimbabwe.

I understand the emotion behind the killing of Cecil but let's keep things in perspective.  As far as we know, the hunter did not break any US laws or any laws of the African nation that he hunted in.  If any laws were broken, if anyone is responsible for Cecil's slaughter; it's the PAID guides who escorted the hunter.  I think the dentist got caught up in a situation that was not of his making.  I'm most definitely against hunting but like it or not, it does exist and it's legal.  I pray I live to see the day when it ends everywhere in the world.   I certainly don't think a man should lose his business and his livelihood or even be branded for life just because he got caught up in tragic circumstances that got too much over-the-top publicity.  Of course, he's re-opening his dental practice.  Did anyone think he was going to give up work forever?  He'll probably lose a few patients but not many.  Now that the furor has blown over, people who are looking for dentists aren't going to let Cecil's demise be the deciding fact.

I would hope photos of those visiting his practice are posted on the net. If there is a Go Fund Me for that I'm contributing. This person and his associates, family, friends, and employees are of the same ilk.

How can you possibly know how this dentist's friends, family, employees and patients feel about lions, hunting or anything else?  If my dentist hunted, I wouldn't even know it.  You're just blowing in the wind!

Do you expect anyone to believe that this man's family, friends, and employees didn't know his obsession with killing wildlife?

Maybe you don't know anything about your dentist but I make sure I know all about mine. I would never, ever, support a dentist who was as immoral as this one is.

Unless he has legally & lawfully done something wrong, all the people harassing him are wrong.

He needs to make a living, just like anyone else.  Until he's handcuffed & thrown in jail....he needs to be left alone.

With all the people harassing him?  Let's check the browser history on their computer...if they are so pious to judge.  Let's delve a little bit in THEIR life.

People who live in glass houses shouldn't throw stones.

And I guarantee you...all those people fussing?

They shouldn't be throwing stones.
