Next month TY will be selling Cecil beanie babies for $5.99 and 100% of the profit will go to the Oxford Research Group that was studying Cecil.

If anyone is so inclined, to avoid the possibility of not being able to find one (i.e. special Beanies in the past, Cabbage Patch hysteria, etc.) or not wanting to deal with keeping a look out for when they go on sale - there is currently one company that is taking preorders. Even TY isn't doing that yet. It's double the price 😕 but they are inexpensive to start with so I didn't mind, in order to be sure of getting one.
Google "Cecil beanie baby" and you will see it.

Call me cynical but I have doubts of the 'humanitarian efforts' for a guy who's just been convicted of tax evasion.
While it may raise more awareness it's certainly not going to fund much. They can make the profit very small, sometimes it's not even 10%.
They are adorable and affordable, so if you want one I'd say go for it, but to think it's going to benefit anyone but TY is delusional IMO anyway. This is not the first time they've done this either.
The wildlife would benefit a lot more if people send money directly to it, but then no one would have a toy.

You might want to read this article in full. 100% of the profits will go to the foundation.
