See now, NutriSystem is making you lose weight.

My best guess is that the food got moldy and buggy from being shipped. It probably sat in a hot warehouse and you know it definitely was in hot areas while it made its way to your house.
As an aside, in July I ordered a set of 4 lipsticks from QVC. I was home the day they were delivered USPS so I got them right out of the mailbox. Every single one of them was broken, I'm sure from the heat in being shipped.

@Lipstickdiva I had the same rationale with the mold on the muffins and excused it for that reason; however, those bugs, or their larvae, had to be present at the time of packaging. Heat did not create them.

@IamMrsG. Apparently Nutrisystem uses QVC as a dumping ground for old, stale product. All too often QVC uses the TSV to get rid of defective merchandise.

@Kachina624 I hope you are mistaken.

This is not a nutri system story but a bug story
when i was much younger my husband i were living in hawaii (his job required it --military). we would purchase food from commissary or grocery store, back then there were not many grocery stores on the island.
we would open up bags of oatmeal, cereal boxes, jello, pudding boxes and most all had one form of bugs in the boxes.
we had invited over some friends for dinner one night and were making up the dinner when we poured the macaroni in the boiling water and all these bugs came floating to the top. I didn't have money to purchase anymore food, dh and I strained out the macaroni when finished cooking and ate it along with the friends. Little you could do.
it does happen getting bugs in food.
hope you are able to get credit on your purchase.

@Kachina624 And you base this conclusion on one particular experience?
That's not fair to Nutrisystem nor QVC in my opinion.

If I were to ever buy this stuff (which I wouldn't) and this happened, that would be the LAST delivery I'd ever get.

That is disgusting, but it happens in all types and brands of food. I am sure QVC will take care of you with full refund.

Can't imagine eating that horrible food.
