Cataract Surgery on Dog?

Has anyone had this surgery on their dog? My dog developed a mature cataract on her eye very fast. Had her to the vet and her blood workup is fine and no problems. So am calling the eye surgeon tomorrow and making an appointment. I've had this surgery myself and I know it isn't painful. Hope it's not for my dog either.
