Is there really a big difference b/w regular cat litter and multi-cat formula? Is that just a commercial gimmick?

I don't know if there is a difference at all! When we used to use World's Best Cat Litter, I didn't notice any difference between the regular and multi-cat choice.

Wouldn't it be funny if there was no difference in the two products? Except for the labeling, of course! LOL.

Guess I'll check back later and see how others weigh in on this topic.

I can't say that I've noticed a difference. I have one cat and buy litter in the big box, so I grab whichever kind is at the edge of the shelf. I know I get multi cat. I figured what difference did it make. I say it's a gimic.

I've noticed that some of the multi-cat formulas are very heavily scented. Strong fragrances send me into terrible headaches so I usually find one I like and stick with it. It's hard for me to carry the heavy clumping ones. We are currently using the World's Best litter. The one in the black bag. Don't like the multi-cat version of that one - stronger odor. Good luck!

I don't think so. I get cats pride scoop able and it's not scented & works great.

I think it's a gimmick. I grab whatever is closest to where I'm standing.
