I find it strange that a poster who trashes every single clothing line (and much else) on QVC is fiercely outraged about two host layoffs.

But it's pretty humorous.

I don't know the reason they have left but did it occur to you they may have been offered a great early retirement incentive and chose to leave? There are others who have been on this show just as long if not longer and I believe they are still there. One being Mary Beth Rowe who was on the show long before it was called QVC. A few others I know have been on the show quite a long time and I believe are still there are Pat James Demetri, Dave Venable and Jane Tracey (I think she played a fairy during one of their late night shows again before they were QVC). Employees come and go and sometimes it has nothing to do with their age. I also don't think it is fair to badmouth the new hosts especially if its just because you are upset that your favorite host is no longer there. The new ones are still green and it takes time for some to get their bearings. Very few people come off as seasoned when they first start. As humans, we all make mistakes. Also, some people are just not for everyone which is why some of us have our favorites and that's okay.

When you work for a big corporation for years and years with big salary and bonuses--You had the potential to save a lot of money. Cobra--expensive but doable at the salary levels they were at. I'm on COBRA for 8 months. $640 per month and then $690 in 2023. Yes its expensive but if I can afford it being in the same position I am sure they can too.

Young people don't even shop at QVC. Some never heard of it. They need to attract a younger audience.

Carolyn and Dan had a wonderful ride. I am sure they saved and invested their money after 30 plus years they are just fine.. I feel bad for them but layoffs are expected. Over 60 group are clearly targeted.

Moral of story if you have a good job, it can be suddenly taken away. Look at what happened to Amazon and Meta employees. Good Job with bennies Gone. You must save diligently while working!

When people are Layed off (Terminated) there is NO NEED for a company to provide any type of send off. Its a stressful situation for those impacted no need to add to the emotional termoil and put them on air to say goodbye. I couldn't imagine doing that if a company told me they didn't want me.

In fact when I have been part of a lay off I NEVER wrote any good by letter or spent time saying that to my co-workers even when I was given 30 day notice. It was too hard emotionally. Just imagine trying to hold it together and go on air in front of millions of people and say QVC and I are parting ways. Its easier when its your choice but not when its the company's.

So many other people lost their job and everyone is concerned about 2 hosts. That is shameful. No one is sticking up for those other 397 people just those whom you see on TV daily which makes YOU feel that you have a personal connection to them. Its time for QVC viewers to stop having an emotional attachment with the hosts.

I am also surprised by this move. Two excellent hosts?? Why? Nothing against the newbies but Carolyn and Dan were really good at their jobs and fun to watch. Oh well, guess the squirrel bit is over, LOL. I do wish them both well.

Shocking to the viewers and fan base, but it really is just business. Perhaps this is what they wanted .... no one can speak for Carolyn or Dan.

And D&C needs a major overhaul as well

@PhillyGirl23 ..... I liked your post until you said "No other host wears this crappy clothing." Wow!!! I have purchased clothing from several clothing lines here and l do not have anything that l would call "crappy" from Denim & Co. Your opinion...Yes but you certainly made me jump back a little with that remark! I realize we all don't have the same taste but to call their clothing line "crappy".... Geeezzz....
