@sidsmom

An "old" what, on Johnny Carson?

Fact:  I graduated from the same high school as Carol Channing, so know a bit more than most who may post here.  Haven't gone to Wiki, this is just a tiny bit of what was shared with us by Carol herself upon the occasion of the dedication of the newly refurbished Lowell High School, San Francisco, audiitorium, which now bears her name.

During her long, active, performing life, Carol Channing was brought up and continued with the Christian Scientists.  This, simply put, meant that during the course of her life she abstained from alcohol, tobacco, and other such "vices."  When she spoke, it was with such ease and sweetness you just wanted to give her a hug.  It was an evening to remember and I'm glad I was able to be there.

 Sidsmom, insult inwithstanding, we all know that people age differently based on various factors.  Taking a kinder approach, even to the departed, does the soul good.

Must have been great to attend that ceremony and hear her speak @sfnative.
