at age 97.  what a talent! she made me laugh out loud more than most.  she had a quick brain behind that "innocent" exterior.

I recall on a talk show she said one of her beaded gowns weighed 30 pounds. I wondered how she could stand wearing it as so petite.

I was lucky enough to have seen her in Hello Dolly at the National Theatre in Wash. DC, many years ago.

 

97 is a good, long run.  She was, truly, one of a kind.

An extraordinary being and talent.

 

A mixture of  sprite, woman and someone touched by the gods.  Fascinating meld of characteristics.
