Pretty boots, but I would never spend that kind of money on boots that can't really do what I want boots to do.  Also, 15 minutes to clean them up and stow them?  Not in my life.  I have various Sporto boots, Vionic and BearPaw.  The Sporto I don't need to treat, but the Vionic I do and they get retreated as necessary.  I know these style boots are probably not your thing, but they are mine.  They take minimal care and look good year in and year out, from storm to storm.  I have one pair of Sporto's that are going on 12 years now, still looks great and are still comfy AND waterproof!

@Sweet_Serenity - Absolutely.  Enjoy your new boots.  I've never found knee high boots comfortable and I don't need boots to feel like singing.

@Sweet_Serenity

The only pair of boots I store in its box is my Lucchese cowboy boots because I only wear them for about two weeks in February, when my employer lets us wear "western wear" during our annual rodeo and stock show. All my other boots are kept out in the open, on the floor of my closet, with.. wait for it... pool noodles cut to the height of the boots to keep them upright. 😁 I just take a pair, pull out the noodles, dust the boots off and wear them. Then, if they get dirty, I run a damp cloth over them before I put them back. I treat them if/when they need it with a leather cleaner and conditioner, just as I do with my handbags before I store them for the season in their dustbags.

Thanks, @Sweet_Serenity!

I have one pair of Jon Fluevog (sp?) suede boots (light beige) I have yet to wear, though I purchased them on sale about a year ago.

Your thread has reminded me to _use_ the spray I purchased when I got the boots so I can wear them when I travel to Philadelphia next month. I've been afraid to wear them when travelling because in the north the streets get so dirty in winter, but it's a waste to keep them in their boot box.

Research on Google-Not recommended store in the box. Several suggestions. Totally! Understand concern about wearing. Treat as you said, Spray purchased you should be good to go! Enjoy your time in Philadelphia. Most of all! Enjoy wearing your boots!!💁

Right now I have only 5 pairs of high heel dress boots: two ankle, two, knee, and one thigh high. I don't wear them often here except on very cold day. They require minimal care, compared to back north with the ravages of winter, snow, ice, and salt. DH still takes care of my shoes and boots. He learned how in the Army.

      Oh, I can relate to that...lol    I can't wear heels anymore due arthritis so last winter, I gave away or tossed out all my boots with higher heels.  There were a lot...lol   At the time, I thought I was down to just a few pairs of boots.   They must have had boot babies over the summer because when I went to took  my boots out in the fall.....I had way more than I thought I had...lol    But I still bought a pair of mid calf merlot boots to go with my new merlot bag.   But, no more.   I have enough....maybe I'll treat myself to a new pair next winter.
