Re: Car rental prices are through the roof

That's bad news for me. I'm leaving for a trip in two weeks. I haven't reserved a car yet to pick up at my destination. I was thinking I'd get off the plane and get a small SUV or something similar at the airport as usual. Of course, I know there are shortages but didn't realize it's as critical as it is now.

Re: Car rental prices are through the roof

We are going to Florida in Oct and just booked a car.  Last year we paid $192 for a week and now it's $700 + taxes so over $800.  That is insane!  We just reserved now and pay when we pick it up so hopefully things get better by Oct.

In some cities/states, if ur going to a doctor's appointment, they have cabs that could take u there and back. If ur a senior, ur medical insurance covers transportation.

We always rent through Costco. We usually save quite a bit. Free upgrade and no fee for second driver. If you are a member, hit the travel link on their website and it will find a car for you.
