Re: Can you believe it - SNOW

❄️ West of Austin here. I have a layer of snow on my deck and in the trees. Went outside a few times last night - so pretty seeing the flakes falling and blowing a bit in the wind.❄️

My husband who grew up in Houston was out back  taking pictures because there has not been very many times in his life that he has actually seen snow. Being from New York State myself, I remember the snow - the snowball fights, the snowmen, the snow angels, the sledding - good times! I am so glad I experienced all that as a kid - so much fun!!

Re: Can you believe it - SNOW

Remember guys, this is new to me and it is so pretty coming down. I'm in deep south Texas, about 10 - 15 miles from the Mexican Border. It is really coming down. My son is in Kingsville and he woke up to all white everywhere. It just started coming down about 30 minutes ago.

I am on the other side of Texas, by New Mexico.  We had snow falling most of yesterday morning. But living in the Sun City, sun came out in the afternoon and the snow was mostly gone!  But, our night temp was the lowest in two years!! It is pretty to see from the windown inside of house.  But caused many accidents.  We are not used to driving in snowy, wet weather....

Re: Can you believe it - SNOW

I saw a few snow flurries on my car driving down the street yesterday afternoon.  In today's local paper there were three smallish towns still in our "East" area that delayed start up today.  I thought well maybe we will have a winter for a change here in Texas since August was not so rough this year.

@Cakers3, it’s a lot of fun for us. Already receiving lots of photos from relatives in San Antonio. It’s getting colder but like I said, if we get it, it will be around 3:00a

@qvcfreak  It was cold enough in the morning so that all the trees and rooftops still had snow.

We are transplants so we enjoy watching the "natives" enjoying while they can, making snowmen and snow angels.  Even some snowball fights.

It was that old peaceful feeling watching it come down.  We stood in the backyard just letting it settle down on us while listening to neighbors coming out and "oohing" and "ahhing".  LOL

@Cakers3, It was so beautiful, it really came down fast.  Everything was white, all the rooftops, the trees, the grass, it was just so beautiful. Khloe was so excited outside, she looked so cute with her little sweater on and snowflakes on her fur. The chihuahuas, took one look out the door and they turned around and back inside. Sadly I went to work and when I came out, it was all gone. But I did appreciate those 3 - 4 hours of Mother Nature gave us.
