I been thinking and pondering ...but not too much. This kind of stuff does not rattle around in my thought process. But thinking we are smart folks around here...so why not guess? Can we guess around here? Does that count?
About that opened man hole in the road....I think someone outside the prison dug toward the prison.
And who looked at the blue prints of that man hole pipes and where it went underground? How did the prisoners know where to start digging and cutting to connect up with the pipes underground?
Maybe that open man hole was for everyone to look there ....while they both walked out the front door.
Or maybe using a delivery truck to get away and keep driving down the road. And kept driving to the air port to fly out of the country.

Havent given much thought to the manhole idea. I did however get the feeling someone on the outside other than who's been investigated helped out. Saw a show/interview with 'Dog' (Dwayne) the Bounty Hunter. He felt those guys are no longer in the country and the authorities need to look to Canada to find them - if they haven't left the continent altogether. I have to think he may have something there.

I agree with Dog they have to be far gone. No way would they make all those plans and not have a get away far out of the State or Country. Someone outside the prison could have rented a plane to be ready to fly them where ever they made plans to travel.
They would have to leave the USA fast because we have too many cameras in our phones, and TV News looking for the first story to report.
But I ponder that they were reported to be in a hunters cabin. So maybe that was the location to meet up with someone to take them out of the area. It was reported that the cabin belonged to a prison guard. Darn this in crazy.

I heard their DNA was found in one of the cabins. They had eaten peanut butter or something. If they are living rough they must be getting very hungry now

cherry, Wonder how far apart the cabin is from the prison?
Hard to think they made these wild plans with all kind of different people to not have a major get away plan somewhere close to the prison.

The real question is why would anyone on the outside do anything to help those 2 escape? What possible benefit could a rational thinking person figure they would have to gain and not have any regard for the possible consequence for their stupidity? These are the kind of thoughts rolling around in my head.
That said, you know the saying......hide in plain sight...

lobstergal, It seems the female so she thought was to gain the loss of her huband. She would help them and they would help her. She checked into the hospital to have an cover story of where she was when they did away with her husband. But even those plans went wrong for her.
The guard could have something the bad guys was going to do for him in exchange for what he did to help them excape.
The bad only needs to find someones weakness and use it for their gain in doing somethng. One rule is never tell anyone your weakness.

I know it seems weird to the majority of the population in the real world, but these guys are master manipulators. They have nothing but time to think up scams.
I interviewed jail inmates and saw their cunning ways. I have had them try to play me. And I knew a prison guard who spoke of the sheer tedium of their job. I can understand the dynamic happening. Neither life is one I'd aspire to. And burn out and frustration happens.

NYwoman, what was your main reason to interview them?
I grew up around a very cunning female and she was good. When she spoke to others trying to get what she wants, or to con them for her own reasons she was believable. I learned to not listen to her voice tone, and do not let her expression guild me to know if what was being said was true or false. I learned how to read people different.
