The only time I can't sleep is when it's too hot.  I kick off the cover and toss around. Then I get cold because of the air condtioning. It took me over an hour to fall asleep last night.  Then this morning a big storm work me up at 3:00AM!  Grr...I just got out of bed with a flash light, as we lost power and almost fell over the cat.  My summers are like this all the time.  The rest of year, no problem sleeping.

Hope you eventually got to sleep and I hope your power came back

Hubby and I are not sleeping great either.  Nothing to do with the heat as our house is always the same temp (Thank you Central air).  Other things going on been teleworking since March 16 and am so grateful I am able to do that.  Lately every day is the same as the day before. Need to snap out of a funk I am in.

Hoping the fireworks eventually die down or people would at the very least stop them by around 11.  When they continue on until after midnight it is just plain rude.

Same here....I'm either too warm, or the ac is blowing on me....but I never feel right in the hot weather anyway, I'm just not a hot weather person...🥵

Take time every day to enjoy where you are without a need to fix it

I hear ya!!!  When it's in the upper 90's, it's like you can't get comfy at night.  Hot, cold, hot, cold.  No really good sleep to be had.

My bedroom ceiling fan helps but it dries out my throat.

I guess I sleep with  my  mouth open

I can't sleep without the fan.

I don’t sleep well in the hot summer months even with air conditioning either.    I sleep so much better when nights are cool and the air conditioning is off (and a window with fresh air is open if it’s not winter).

I have central A/C, but I also have (unfortunately) cathedral ceilings in my bedroom.  To augment the a/c (it's a 3-story town house), I sleep with fans on, in addition to the A/C:  ceiling fan, Dyson tall floor fan, Dyson smaller floor fan and a 10 inch oscillating fan!   I need to sleep cool!  Oh, and I also have a floor fan in the hall to help keep the upstairs cool.

@software    Sometimes, even with AC, there is a lack of air movement.  There is no ceiling fan in my room so I just switch on my Dyson fan, and I'm off into Dreamland.  I take a bottle of water to bed with me at night to help with dry throat.

I couldn't sleep for anything last night and I usually sleep like a rock.

Tossed and turned for HOURS and ended up getting no more than an hour of sleep before I had to get up to be at work at 6 a.m.

I am a wee bit tired right now.

I feel a nap coming on.

The only air conditioning in my upstairs apartment is a wall unit that only reaches the dining area, kitchen and living room.  Even with fans positioned, it doesn't reach the bedroom.

So I put a little fan in an open becroom window at night.  It helps, but it's usually close to morning before I can fall deeply asleep...so I sleep in late.  I just roll with it...it's not like I have to get up early for anything.
