I have tried 5 times over the past 3 weeks to get a post to Cheryl's Cookie Tins # M51201 and m51200 to no success? There has been 180 % increase in price this year from last year and QVC review people will not post my review... The posted my 15 % increase on the Harry London tins, no problem there but looks like QVC doesn't want their customers to know of this enormous price increase!! Any help in this matter is greatly appreciated. Last year I got 10 tins with the same amount of cookies for $ 40 now 5 tins for $ 56 .....what gives???

In order to post a review, you have to purchase and receive the product. How can you review something you have not yet received?

If you are upset with the price try Cheryl's website during the holidays. They run frequent coupons and deals and their prices much less. The cookies are the same..

@ Too Darn Cute -- If you're just wanting to review the price increase, that's a complaint, but it's not a review.
As a potential buyer, I'd already know the price and know whether I'd be willing to pay it.
As for why? Who knows? I have no control over that anyway, so I just want reviews to tell me about the product.
/at's a different story, but I can decide for myself whether I like the price or not. Some people willing pay @20 for a special loaf of b

You do not have to purchase an item at Q to post a review. That is part of what is ineffective with their review process.
Many times reviews are posted on brand new products that have never shipped yet, and people say things like "I would have bought this but it didn't come in red" and then give it one star.
On Amazon, they have a 'verified purchase' label to show that they can verify if the person purchased the product through them or not, which is helpful.
It would also be helpful if we could come back here and edit or add to our review at a later time (Amazon allows this as well). Sometimes your view of the product changes over time with use, and you would like to update your experiences with it.

I guess if people have been buying them they are probably aware of the price increase. Look on Brad's Deals for a deal or search online for coupons before buying them.
I have never tried them. Cookies with icing is not my cup of tea. Yuck!!!

Agreed - a "review" about the cost is a violation of the rules for posting reviews - they are supposed to be about the product. I generally report those as inappropriate because the ratings bring down the overall product review. We know what it costs and if we bought it in the past, we know what we paid for it. It is up to us to decide if we want to pay more or not. I have seen several comments (I am not going to call them product reviews) about the cost increases on this and other products (some of the candy products, as well) and I don't think those should be allowed in the product review section. Vent about it here, which many people have done lately, but not on the product review page.

@Nightowlz I did try them once. They were small and very dry. I got the impression they were not fresh. The people I gave them to said they liked them, but I never bought them a second time. I get much better cookies from the bakery at my local grocery store (Heinen's) for less than half the price.

@mominohio Amazon does show verified purchse and I like that. Now if they'd just figure out a way to require buyers actually to read the books they buy before they review them, I'd trust their book reviews more. lol
