I forced myself to go to the Y this morning. All my workout buddies, those who showed up, agreed that we were wiped out by the heat wave. I actually avoided the outdoors most of the week. There’s a reason I live in upstate NY, where hot days are rare...or at least they used to be rare.

I am having a "bad" hair day but i put on a turban.  A turban for me is a scarf wrapped around my head and I love it as a break.  I wish I could attach a picture to show you but if you visit a webstite called wrapunzel dot com.... you will see what I'm talking about.

This is a style that a lot of women where when required by their religion.  I wear a turban for easy bad hair days.

The heat drains all the energy out of me.  I’ve been walking early in the morning and avoiding going outside the rest of the day. The heat index has been around 107 all week.   Thunderstorms are supposed to come through this afternoon and cool things off.  Looking forward to that.  Stay cool everyone.

Its a good thing you ladies don't live in the Southwest or Gulf Coast states.  How would you like to have 95°+ heat without any relief from April through October?

I feel the same way, the heat makes me tired ..I am up at 5 a.m. everyday, so I get done all the things I need to do before it gets too hot....almost 100 here this weekend

@fourpaws56  I agree. Mid-90’s in NC w/ high humidity and many days afternoon/evening thunderstorms. I’m also getting up an hour earlier than usual at 5AM to walk Molly (Sadie’s too old to be in this weather), get to the gym, grocery store, etc. and be home by noon.

After lunch, heat kills my appetite, too, I shower and check in w/ emails and wait patiently for 2:30 nap time 😴.

I would be moving, seriously .I can't tolerate excessive heat and humidity.
