I don't find anything confusing. I give credit to epidemiologists and medically trained experts for updating guidelines as they learn more. That's a lot more than we're getting from DC and many governors.
The best part is listening to people who want everything opened up NOW, with most of them sounding like they flunked science in high school.
C'mon...you expect people to understand what you're saying? You are making logical, educated sense. You are using critical thinking skills. People want what they want NOW!!!!!! Doesn't matter who it hurts or the ramifications. Why waste a good conspiracy theory? I"M ENTITLED!!!!!!!

I don't know, I think, sadly, that months into this, the item is sort of spot on... I agree that poking fun at leadership is sort of lame. Not too many leaders are supposedly gifted medical specialists or scientists and can't be expected to know about matters such as this without relying on supposed 'experts' who supposedly do... On the other hand, humor (or ire for that matter) directed at those supposed experts who have contributed so little is just fine with me... I'll give props to those working in the trenches and to the experts who ultimately find an effective treatment or preventive tool for this mess, but advice such as keeping one's distance and washing one's hands wouldn't seem to have required years of education, training and research to dole out...

I saw it several weeks ago and said that if they just had her say "I know this is hard" about 1000 times, in a scolding kindergarten teacher voice, it'd be spot on for the governor of my state. I still think so.

Thanks to all of you who recognized that this post was intended to be a moment of levity, during a stressful time. It's a comedic take on the conflicting information we have ALL had to process.
Of course, with a new virus, things are expected to change from day to day, often leaving us conflicted. I'm aware, and not assigning fault, just a little humorous reaction.
I'm a bit saddened that some have become defensive about feeling they've been called confused, or that I had some type of agenda. Really? I'm a health care professional, and believe me, I've found a good deal to be confused about. And, I'm not ashamed of it.
C'mon people, we can't lose our ability to find laughter, even in times of tragedy. It releases much needed happy hormones and neurochemicals.
This was sent to me by a group of former RN coworkers, who are out on the front lines. They all found it hilarious. They know that laughter really is the best medicine. And, they more than deserve, brief respites, from the seriousness of their situation. We ALL need this.

I thought it was hilarious. Thanks for making me laugh. Sometimes laughter is the best medicine.

I see you meant it as humor now that you explained that....but one wouldn't automatically infer that from the title of the thread or by reading it. A line at the beginning saying it was meant to be funny would have clarified.
I think most people still have the ability to find humor, as long as they see something is intended that way. When we read posts there is no facial expression or tone of voice to assist us in determining the meaning....just the written words. So I don't fault anyone as being lacking in humor who didn't "get" it without some clarification.

@BlueFinch, #23 was my favorite. One of my daughters teaches high school students, and she's heard from many parents with such funny stories. Several have told her teachers should be making millions. Some have said, "How do you put up with my kid?!"

Here it is in a nutshell: stay home; don't touch anyone; and don't let anyone touch you.
Actually, though, I think the OP's post was hysterical!
