What is the big deal about a crock pot...........or rather, posting about one........I love my crock pot but I see posts that hint about not mentioning them..........WHY??????????...............................raven

Raven, I think someone once confessed to cooking a steak in one, and all heck broke loose. I've heard references about this but didn't read the thread.

I make baked beans in mine and they surely turn out well.

Never ever cook filet in one. And never ever use mushroom soup with said filets while wearing knee high and flip flops.

Uh, oh.........was it me? Although I didn't read the commotion posts afterward..........I often throw in top shoulder blade steaks (second only to filet minon).......and they turn out so very tender and delicious. Also New York steaks. I love cooking steaks in a slow cooker, as I don't want to take a chance frying them because sometimes some cuts aren't tender enough for me. ............'Heavens to Betsy', (Whatever that means), I'm always in trouble, it seems..........

Also, many recipes call for cream of chicken, mushroom, etc., soup, and that is a no no.
