Calling Kachina624 Clean Shower

@Kachina624

I remember your post about using Clean Shower for quite a long time and it works well in controlling mildew I think it was?

Was pleased to see it today at our local King Soopers (Kroger) and picked up a bottle.

I know I can read the directions but thought you'd have some insight.

Can it be used on a dry shower?  I need to take a shower tomorrow morning, so it would be on there for about 12 hours if I sprayed tonight.  Rinse after spraying?

Thanks so much Smiley Happy

@rockygems123.  No, you spray your shower walls, fixtures, and floor lightly after your shower and walk away.  Use it every time you shower.   Don't rinse it off.  The shower must be wet.

That's it.

Clean Shower (which I have also used for years) is used for soap scum, and I find that is helps with mineral deposits from hard water.

Mold and mildew require stronger chemicals to remove...like bleach, and you need to be very careful not to breathe bleach fumes.    Think rubber gloves, mask, and a big fan!

@Desertdi.  I've been using Clean Shower since it came on the market and have fnever had any sign of mold or mildew.  Do you have water that sits at the bottom of your walls?

@Kachina624  I know people also used it on the shower doors to prevent soap scum. Am I remembering this correctly?

@Kachina624    No, the shower dries pretty quickly.    I also run a table fan in the bathroom when I use the shower.    The "brilliant" guy who installed the ceiling fan put it right next to the air conditioner vent, so they cancel each other out.

However...when I lived in California, I had an AWFUL mold problem...red mold, green and blue mold...and stuff that even sorta "foamed up" around the sink.    It was disgusting.

Off topic:   Even tho there's one day left in the month, they announced today that it was the "hottest August ever".    A lot of that is due to the extremely high OVERNIGHT temps.  di

The housekeeper requested that we use it on the glass shower doors because of our hard water.  It seems to work well but I go through a bottle quickly.

@Desertdi.  I don't even have fans in my bathrooms.  They justified that because they have windows, which I never open.

We've  cooled off but it's terribly humid.  Tuesday was only 76°, today 88°.  I'm sure summer isn't finished with us.  Cool this evening due to rain East of us.

Ok great sounds good, thanks.  As @Desertdi said mold treatment is something stronger like bleach which luckily I don't need.

As for humidity we've been in the 70% range, we're usually bone dry here in Colorado.
