California governor issues statewide 'stay at home' order

LOS ANGELES, March 19 (Reuters) - California's governor on Thursday issued a statewide "stay at home order" directing residents to leave their homes only when necessary during the coronavirus pandemic.

Governor Gavin Newsom said that modeling has shown that 56 percent of California residents were expected to contract COVID-19 over the next eight weeks, requiring nearly 20,000 more hospital beds than the state could currently provide.

A substitute teacher who lived about 20 miles from me died of coronavirus several days ago. She had recently attended church and now 5 of her older church friends have been tested positive. S will hit the fan in about a week. Take care, people.

Earlier this week when I made one last trip to Sam's, I felt a little silly buying an additional $119 in food and thought to myself I'll never need it for that reason.

I have everything I need, I realized this morning there was nothing else I felt I wanted or needed, so I'm prepared materially.
