I think they are getting close to finding her.  Someone said she was a teacher in Oakgrove school district.  They are on it.  What an idiot.  Was the woman on glue?

That's all????  Due to Covid-19, in N.J. the person would have been charged w/terroristic threat.  It is a third degree crime in New Jersey, which means you can be punished with up to 3-5 years in prison and fines of up to $15,000 if you are convicted of this offense.

???    A lot of conflicting information out there.  Did she really strike the child?

Personally, if the Crazy Person thought they were too close, then they should have moved.   Or at least take action to move the child.  Sounds like they were just standing there like idiots.

@Tinkrbl44, FYI striking someone is not necessary for an assault to occur.  Actually, striking someone is battery which is often charged in conjunction with assault.

Plain and simple....you don't decide to pick a fight with someone when you have a child with you.

@ID2,  exactly how did the mother "pick a fight"?

Well, if the person in front of them was uncomfortable with how close they were, and asked them to ease back a bit, and they refused, that's what I call deliberately antagonizing someone.

Hasn't anyone else been in a line somewhere and the person near you had a cart, stroller or wheelchair right up to their ankles?  It's a VERY uncomfortable feeling and, in each instance, I was afraid I'd be bumped into and could lose my balance.

NOT defending the Crazy Person, but if she told them they were too close & they refused to move, they were just asking for trouble.  JMO
