The husband of Sherri Papini has reported that she was unrecognizable when he first saw her in the hospital. Her face and body was covered in bruises, her nose broken and her hair chopped off. There was other evidence of continued torture.
What a terrible ordeal. I hope those who did this and left her in chains are caught soon.

The Los Angeles Times reports police have not released "sensitive information" and the investigation is active and critical.
GMA will have a report on the kidnapping this morning.

How horriic! I pray the poor woman and her family can get all the help they need and that the perps are caught.
I imagine, unfortuneately, there will still be those who don't believe her story.

I agree with you. The poor woman was down to 87 lbs when found. She obviously was held against her will.

Omg! Such torture! And two women did this? Hopefully, they didn't do anything irreversible. It's a blessing that they didn't kill her.

There has to be a motive for this. It wasn't money so I cannot figure out what. I'm 60 miles from where she was let out. I'm sure they will leave no stone unturned in this investigation.

@Stardust2, yes, I'm sure there is a reason but not necessarily a rational reason. Maybe, if it's these two women as the victim stated, maybe they just felt like hurting someone and this jogger comes along. Maybe she was too cute and looked like an easy target. We can't figure people out these days. So sad. Think about times when you say hello to someone on the street and instead of answering in kind, they look at you with a frown without a word. Look at how people are willing to think the worst about you sometimes before discussing the issue instead of taking the positive road.
Lord knows it would be nice if we could figure out the reasons that people do and say what they do. Some either need to be on medication or are prescribed medication and don't take it regularly which makes it worse.

I left out the more gory details, perhaps that was their motive. It seems there is a very thorough investigation going on and outsiders are involved. An anonymous person is said to be helping out with her medical expenses.

The poor woman. I hope they find the people who did this
