Re: California Becomes First State to Ban Plastic Bags

I use sturdy canvas bags for my groceries. I also have one dedicated bag for meats. Nothing else gets put into it. I throw them all into the washer once a week.

I'm keeping my reusable bags at home until next July. I should have a nice stockpile of plastic bags by then-

Even though NY isn't banning them (yet), I also have a stockpile--you can stuff about 30-40 into emply Kleenex boxes{#emotions_dlg.w00t}.

Should there be a ban here, it won't affect us in the least. I won't be using those bacteria-laden reusable bags, either; I'll simply take one of the leaf bags I get at the dollar store and, after the grocery store trip.....use it for leaves or yard trash.
