Are they crazy?  Oh, yes, they are introducing streaming.  First you pay for the channel and then pay for the individual shows you stream.  No, thank you.  My bill has gone up $40.  That is totally ridiculous.  I have to call them to make changes or cancel.  I will have to go with Direct TV satellite and like it.  We don't have many choices but cable prices are totally too high.

Re: Cable TV Prices UP!!!

Yes, we cut the cable and are streaming....couldn't be happier. Outrageous prices that just got worse every year.

@Katcat1. Cable prices are outrageous!!!  We only have 1 cable company for our area and they charge whatever they want.  Our last bill even had a $13 charge to "offset supply chain issues".  Gimme a break, it's nothing more than legal thievery.

@grandma r Supply chain issues? What are they transporting to beam in ABC? We got rid of videotape years ago.

I cut the cord and haven't looked back. I didn't want to fund cable tv channels whose values I considered abhorent, which is what I was doing back when I had cable.

Internet only. Cable's just an expensive con, IMO. Now I can stream and fund only the content and services I approve of, or feel neutral about.

We pick and chose what we want to stream, too.

We stopped watching cable years ago. It was an expense that we could no longer afford, and it was just getting more and more expensive for us.

Plus, we didn't have many choices regarding cable companies to choose from, and the service would go out regularly.

From my understanding, not much has changed in my area regarding cable choices and service so we're not missing much of anything.

We have cable, internet and phone bundled. Called for a discount and had it cut in half. I like diversity offered on tv so I have options.

I negotiated with them and got 50.00 off each month.  Still high, so when this contract up, I will just stream.   Not much I like on TV anymore, and I stream alot.  I remember when it was 35.00 in the 70,S.  Before internet.

Which cable company is this?  None of the companies in our area do that kind of discount just because you ask - bundle or no bundle.  We were Cox customers for years and now have an AT&T bundle.  They're all thieves in my experience.

@shoesnbags  We’ve had the same company since cable came out even though it got bought by others over time. It’s Optimum now. We have asked for a discount for years and they always said no. Well, this time it was different and cut in half. I think they are losing customers because of all the other ways to watch tv that people don’t need cable anymore.
