If BLACK FRIDAY did not help put some of our favorite retailers out of the red, maybe CYBER MONDAY will do the trick....if there's any good merchandise left after the shoppers fought & screamed to get their hands on choice purchases over the weekend. Personally, I won't be helping them get in the "black". I think I'm already over budget & staying out of stores and not going online to my favorite sites...maybe (?!?!?!).

Shanus, I heard on the local news that sales were down more than 5% in brick and mortar stores. However, they were up 15% since last year on line.

I still have some more shopping to do so we're off to the mall.

I went on Friday and it was packed but still pleasant. What can I say.....I love shopping.

Hello @Trinity11.  Thanks for the update in data. I love shopping, too. I tried to get it done when a lot of sales started mid-Oct. I still have to purchase birthday gifts for my GD (granddaughter?... could mean something else not so nice). Poor things b'day is right before Christmas/HANUKKAH and receives a lot of combo gifts. I like to make a point of separating them for her.

hope they all do stay home. we stayed home from thurs to sun. to avoid sitting in traffic, fighting for parking spaces, listening to screaming kids, long lines, no merchandise, etc.

Hope we can have Mon in peace. should all be back to work and school

I have several things, 10 or so, in my Amazon cart.  I'm waiting to see if the price reduces on any of them tomorrow.

Why is it, when I have a 50/50 guess at something, I'm always 100% wrong?

I found that several websites I like offered free shipping early and discounts so there is no need for me to shop although I will be tempted to do so.  Maybe one more.  It seems to me that retail is desperate for sales this year more so than in previous years.  Cat Very HappyHeart

I'm gonna have to buy a new pc. Leaning towards the Mac Mini all this old geezer needs. I'm drop kicking Windows to the curb once and for all.

I'll keep a cheapie windows from walmart going for a laptop it didn't seem to get whacked by the 10 updates, but, as far as the main desktop goes I'm going to the Apple tree from now on.

I ordered a few things on line that I would have purchased at some point.   I haven't come across any fabulous deals though.
