Re: COVID Discussion With A Nurse

@ECBG I read about that some months ago, so I'm not surprised.

But I'm not terribly afraid of dying from Covid; I'm afraid of living the way I am now for several more years.

Some of you sound like you *want* the numbers to be high. Isn't it reassuring that things aren't as bad as what is being reported???

Re: COVID Discussion With A Nurse

I think when we sort it all out there will be a fairly accurate number just in "excess deaths" during the covid time period.

Whatever the number shakes out to be, it will be exceedingly tragic and unnecessary.

@Janey2 .....  I am not going to go into a lot of detail but there were five (5) things listed on my husband's death certificate as cause of death.

Re: COVID Discussion With A Nurse

I'd like to see exactly how these are written up for the "count" as death certificates have "cause of death" and "contributing" causes, or so I have seen on some documents.  How the Covid would be listed on the official certificate in a car accident or other death situation may be revealing to it's accuracy while still having the Covid count being relevant in a person's death, if not the primary cause.

It seems to me that the Covid should not be lost for nothing when the presence of it demands public records attention somehow, but not as "primary cause of death".

@Puppy Lips I couldn't remember who posted the same info a few weeks ago.  Thank you for letting us know.

Hopefully,  these professionals are right.

@shoekitty I see where you are coming from.   She said "the numbers are skewed and gave me examples.  She never said there weren't any legitimate losses.

I'm sorry if you thought I was insinuating every number to be false.
