More bad news for Lori Loughlin: friend Cindy Crawford has dropped her from further infomercials for Cindy's Meaningful Beauty skincare line. A new infomercial was set to begin filming soon.

Felicity arrives at Federal Court in Boston today

In front of Judge Indira Talwani, federal prosecutors recommended a four month prison term for Huffman.
Judge Talwani asked Huffman if she understood the terms of the plea deal, including waiving her right to trial. Huffman raised her right hand replying "Yes, your honor" when asked the question.
Judge Talwani accepted the plea deal and will sentence Felicity at a later date.

I think she (Huffman) is the smartest one out of this entire group who cheated and conspired. Really very smart to be the first to plead guilty, to get out in front of everyone else, and show remorse to the judge.

You'll notice they haven't offered deals to any of those directly involved, it's only been the parents who were offered deals. Proving the parents knew what was happening was illegal gets very complicated.
I disagree. Were I a jurist, I would be hard pressed to buy that the parents did not know what was happening with the large sums of money they paid. What reason would any parent have to spend any amount of $$$$ to send a kid that didn't want to go to college, to learn, as opposed to partying?
What, they thought they were investing or donating to a Major College Charity Fund? If the parents are not found guilty would not surprise me, it would shock me. But as one that has sat on 9 jury panels? I met many that were severely challenged when it came to having to make a decision.
My opinion!

I think Huffman may emerge from this mess with the least amount of time in jail, if any at all. Lori and Mossimo, on the other hand, are really flirting with disaster by insisting on pleading innocent; it is quite obvious they knew exactly what they were doing....now one of the daughters may be charged with being complicit....wouldn't they be smart enough to just admit the whole thing and save their daughter?

I don't really think that Huffman will get anything but probation because she was the first to admit her guilt and I believe the charges/money were much less than the others involved.
As far as Loughlin and her husband, they will probably use the poster trying to recruit crew members that stated no sailing experience needed. If it goes to jury, there is no guarantee that they will be found guilty.

Felicity Huffman stated in court, today, that her daughter has had a learning disability since she was 11 years old. She stated that everything the prosecutor said she did, she did except she did not know who Mr. Singer paid (meaning the names of the proctor). She stated again how sorry she was and that her daughter had no knowledge of her actions and that she would have to live with her actions for the rest of her life.
I give her credit for taking responsibility for her actions. I am glad that she stated that her daughter has a learning disability, so that the extra time was warranted. She acknowledged the bribe and the changing of the answers on the test by the proctor.

I believe any disability has to be documented according to the college boards; I don't believe Felicity just saying that her daughter has a learning disability would qualify for extended time had she followed proper procedure.
I don't know what her daughter's disability may be but if her daughter has had a learning problem throughout her school years then documentation and accommodations would have been provided long before the SAT fiasco.
I agree she may just receive probation; but at least she is humble and willing to accept the consequences.

I don't feel Felicity Huffman would lie about her daughter having a learning disability when it can easily be checked through her school. She stated that her daughter was under doctor's care as well, sorry I don't recall the type of doctor. I don't feel she would lie, now, at this point when it could be disproved. Why expose your daughter as having a learning disability since an early age if it wasn't true. She fully admitted to having the proctor change the answers, I don't think she would take the chance and lie in front of a Federal Judge and have her sentence placed in jeopardy. I have no doubt that evidence was submitted to the prosecutors of a learning disability when they were negotiating a plea bargain.
Interesting comment by a lawyer not involved in the lawsuit, that the way Felicity Huffman has admitted to her crime has made it even more difficult for others. The lawyer said if there was a perfect way to plead guilty, Felicity Huffman was an excellent example. She plead guilty swiftly, wrote a letter showing remorse, has kept an extremely low profile and fully accepted responsibility of her actions.
What did surprise me is the wait till September for sentencing. I did think it would be sooner and before Lori Loughlin's next court appearance
Stay tuned!.
