I add melted vanilla ice cream to my coffee.  'What I do is' simply keep the vanilla ice cream in the refrigerator, in a small glass pitcher, so it's cold like cream or milk, yet melted.  You can use a mason jar, or anything that is glass, to preserve the flavor, etc. .......... WAIT!!  I forgot to mention adding a dollup of peanut butter in each cup, too! ( I was out of PB for a week, and re-stocked yesterday.)  It sure makes coffee smooth and silky.

Ladies, for you true connoisseurs of the dark roasts and like just a drop or two of cream, which cream do you like the best? I've tried so many and most are just okay. I'd like to hear your recs!

Oh yum!!! I love my cream and sugar with a bit of coffee! Seriously, I have never been someone who has a cup every day, but do enjoy a cup with a cookie on a lazy morning. Coffee smells so good brewing!

@asoutherngirl Oh, your post brought back memories. Cafe du Monde (CDM) was the coffee my family drank when I was growing up. There was always a canister of CDM with chicory in the kitchen, and we kids drank ours as cafe au lait - half milk, half coffee.  Now  I have to limit my caffeine due to high blood pressure  and decaf just isn't the same!  From one Louisiana girl to another, thanks for the memories.

I love my coffee, medium roast and I also take cream with 1 spoon of sugar. I drink a 2 serving cup in the morning and if it's cold or I have fresh baked goods, I'll have another cup in the evening.

It's all so much individual taste.  I can't do the flavored *liquid* creamers. Every time I try another, no matter what brand, they have a very chemical, unnatural taste to me - even the "natural" ones.  My choice is Coffeemate French Vanilla powder. Yeh, I know - chemicals, chemicals - but to my taste buds this is good and the same product in refrigerated liquid = ugh.

I'm so used to drinking vanilla-flavored coffee that using plain cream or milk is just blah for me. I'd actually rather have black.  And I probably need to add that I drink strong-flavored dark roasts that stand up to adding the vanilla creamer.

I like the flavor but it doesn't agree with me, so I rarely drink it. Last time I did, I paid dearly.

I'm the one who adds a dollop of peanut butter (along with the melted vanilla ice cream) to each cup of coffee.  Sure makes it smooth and silky.  Give it a try!
