I've never understood Mr. and Mrs. Brown. They knew OJ beat the tar out of daughter probably for as long as they were together. OJ was their meal ticket so they looked the other way. Even after he slaughtered their daughter, they said they had to be civil to him because they wanted to see their grandchildren. Had I'd been in their shoes, I probably would have killed the SOB myself. I would not care whether I spent the rest of my life in jail or I'd been killed myself.
It is ironic that OJ was found guilty on the 13th anniversary of the day he was was found not guilty.
Just as a point of information in this country we have the presumption of innocence:
One of the most sacred principles in the American criminal justice system, holding that a defendant is innocent until proven guilty. In other words, the prosecution must prove, beyond a reasonable doubt, each essential element of the crime charged.

And the special shoes? Very expensive, specially ordered shoes in his size. Think the name began with a "B".
I was shocked at the verdict but also the prosecutors did a terrible job.

Not only do I believe he is guilty "beyond a reasonable doubt," but beyond ALL doubt.
That verdict was a miscarriage of justice for the victims.
A & E is doing a special on the civil trial. His friend from the Bronco knows he did it. He knew OJ was abusing Nicole. Mr. Kardashian knew he did it.
I think if the trial were held today, he'd be easily convicted. DNA science was new and not entirely understood or trusted like it is now. People have been convicted on a tiny speck of blood, much less all they had in various places.
The A & E show is really interesting, because OJ couldn't refuse to testify. They caught him in multiple lies and misstatements. He was arrogant on the stand. It shows him from a WAY different perspective.
He murdered 2 people, and karma got him in this case.

EXCELLENT comments. RK was a TOTAL s**mb*g for defending him. He got his KARMA, too. He's DEAD. No loss.
I'll never forget the totally shocked look on his face when the verdict was announced. Of course he knew OJ was guilty. Attorneys always know when their client is guilty, but it's their job to get them off. How can they do it? That is the question.

After the trial Robert Kardashian never saw or spoke to OJ again. Even during the final weeks of his life OJ kept calling him, but he refused to take his calls.
Defense attorneys defend guilty people. It is part of our judicial system. There are always high profile attorneys eager to participate in celebrity trials. While RK was part of the Dream Team, he distanced himself and supposedly never spoke of his innocence.
I think the whole fiasco was a miscarriage of justice but the prosecution has no one to blame but themselves. They did little to find an impartial jury and they screwed up the case many times. If there was an ounce of doubt in anyone's mind on that jury, they came to the right decision. To this day jurors believe evidence was planted. There are posters here that believe OJ did not commit the crime.
If the Goldman family can be satisfied the murderer of their son and brother will rot in jail for 30+ years, so am I.

People study the law with different objectives. We like to think that most criminal attys are there to see justice done, and most probably are, but there are attys who are in it ONLY for money, fame and notoriety - and maybe even the ego boost they get when a client they know is guilty is acquitted. Such people strangle their conscience early on in their careers.

While watching the A & E show about the civil trial, that's where they got him about the Bruno Magli (ugly as* shoes).
The National Enquirer found a photo of him on the sidelines of a football game wearing those very shoes. The lawyers got FBI verification of the authenticity of the photo and used it to impeach him in the civil trial.
There he was, wearing the shoes that made prints in Nicole Brown and Ronald Goldman's blood. The ones he denied ever having.
He was impeached repeatedly on statements he had made in police interviews. He was shown to be the liar he was. The prosecutors in the criminal trial never got a chance to question him.

For FAME, NOTARIETY, and MONEY! I'm SURE RK knew OJ was guilty. Since he was such good friends with OJ, I'm SURE he saw the results of OJ's physical and mental abuse toward Nicole.

Yes he lost the civil trial. But he never paid out one thin dime.

Jason was a very troubled individual and according to people close to the Simpson and Brown families, absolutely detested Nicole. As of today, he has never been questioned about his whereabouts that evening.
