Class never runs scared.  It is

         surefooted and confident and it

         can handle whatever comes along.

Class has a sense of humor. It

knows that a good laugh is the best

         lubricant for oiling the machinery

         of human relations.

             Class never makes excuses.  It

takes its lumps and learns from

         past mistakes.

             Class knows good manners are

nothing more than a series of

         sacrifices.

             Class bespeaks an aristocracy

unrelated to ancestors or money. A

blue blood can be totally without

class while the son of a Welsh

miner may ooze class from every

         pore.

Class can "walk" with kings and

keep its virtue and talk with crowds

        and keep the common touch."

           Everyone is comfortable with

the person who has class because

        he is comfortable with himself.

                      Ann Landers

@SandySparkles...I'm sure you know Ann Landers passed many years ago.   That  proves how long I have had that newspaper clipping, so long ago I couldn't begin to remember when I cut it out.  I have been going through all of my things for the second time, emptying folders and getting rid of the things I didn't the first time around.

I knew you would appreciate that clipping.  Heart

@Lindsays Grandma  I remember reading her newspaper column, years ago! It is amazing how many incidental chores we are completing, with so much spare time on our hands. I am glad you decided to purge your folders, and share this clipping.😁

@Desertdi....There are times when I look around and see the things I see, life for me back in the day is where I'd rather be.

Times in which Class became an endangered species. Frighteningly so. And just when it seemed we had broken free and moved on to less stressful times, more chaos. It is a sad state of affairs when a Pandemic is the lesser of 2 evils.Smiley Sad
