I think we don't have Lyme Disease here in NM.  I've never heard of a case.  We do have wonderful things like Rocky Mountain Fever and Bubonic Plague.  We have been in severe drought for several years and as a result have had no ticks or fleas (we never have fleas).  About 4 or 5 years ago we had bad ticks in the spring but they disappeared about the first of June when it got really hot.

I noticed those ticks in the muffin right away.

So far this week, I have picked off two ticks from one of my dogs.  One tick was on top of her head and the other one was in her ear....long droopy ears.

My dogs do not go into the woods or high grass or weeds.  We walk along the street and visit a nice grassy area that is mowed.  The ticks are really bad this year.  My dogs have front line and i just ordered " bug collars" for them.

i check them for ticks every time they go outside.  I check myself too.

i live in PA where we have an extremely high rate of Lyme disease.  I know many people who have it..including my nephew and my neighbors daughter.

Yaaaaaaah!..as a kid the only thing we worried about was poison ivy, and maybe a snake!

I am getting paranoid about walking in the park with hubby and the dog.

I haven't joined them since Holly came home with a tick on her neck.

 I do not live near woods I live in a little town with a nice backyard but two years ago I got Lyme disease. I worked outside little over a month ago and I got bit by something. I thought it was a spider. I finally went to the doctor today because I have had a stiff neck aches and pains turns out I was  bit by a tick now they are  testing me for Lyme disease again. I’m not an outdoors person I just work in the yard do not go hiking through woods but ticks like me.
