CBS story on Wounded warrior Project

After watching this story they will certainLy not get another penny out of me.  They only spend 60% of their donation income on services for the vets they claim to be helping.  That is extremely low compared to other charities that help our vets.  Watch where your charity money goes folks.  Charity Navigator is a good website to check on the charities you support.

Yes, it was eye opening to hear this. Also be on the look out for 'similar sounding charities' making calls to your phone too.

I remember during the Holidays those Wounded Warrior commercials on TV-- they ranked IMO with the animal abuse commercials (tug at your heartstrings). I changed the channel when either of those commercials came on.

I've heard this about this organization for quite some time.  I wouldn't donate to them.

@KathyPet   Absolutely shameful.  I completely agree & it's some other veteran charity from now on for me.

The $3. million "bonding exercise" just about did me in when I think of all the veterans who could really use those funds!

I like to donate to charities that benefit veterans.  I am comfortable giving money to Warrior Canine Connection. They train labradors and golden retrievers that are given free of charge to veterans who are physically and/or emotionally challenged.  It is truly heartwarming to see the bond of love and trust between the dogs and their warriors.

I didn't see it, so I read it online. Here's the link:

Sad, this was one of the charities I was adding to my giving this year. Rethinking that now. What happens to people when they have an unlimited supply of other peoples' money to spend? It reminds me of those IRS and other agency parties from a couple of years ago. SMH.

Oh, no 😞

I had heard bad things about them, too.  I was hoping it wasn't true, but I am not surprised.

Re: CBS story on Wounded warrior Project

this is a bit upsetting to hear. we have lost some family members and close friends this past year and for a few of them this was their charity of choice in lieu of flowers. i know my mom has donated hundreds of dollars to this charity in 2015.
