The man who, at age 99, raised millions of pounds to aid NHS workers in England in the fight against COVID-19 and who was knighted by the Queen, has died. He was hospitalized Jan. 22 for COVID and pneumonia and passed away this morning.

He left the earth a better place for his kindness and generosity.

It's a real tragedy that this virus is taking people who survived wars, including  some holocaust victims. Of course those who were in  WWII and even Vietnam Nam are elderly now, but there is something especially tragic about such people now dying of COVID.
