Yeah, I was watching one of the Skinn shows. Dimitri wears quite a bit of makeup.  He was applying the dark shade of his lipstick to his lips and is pretty heavy with the blush too.

Sometimes when vendors show their "before and afters", I can't see very much difference and even have to check which is before and after there is so little difference ... and after four weeks.

Then I look at the cost. No way am I going to pay that much for so little a difference.

Aside from retinol, there is very little difference.

The best you can do for your skin in older ages is to have a good cleanser, a good exfoliator you can use daily, and a nice moisturizer. And Retinol.

@febe1  Actually Retin A is one of the best things you can do to keep fine lines at a minimum, and creases limited. I think it also tightens the skin. It's not as expensive as it once was. I get for 58 bux, no insurance coverage. Good moisturizer and sunscreen in morning. Not an expensive regimen.

....and fills in his eyebrows, too.

The eyebrows aren't a big deal IMO, but watching him applying the dark lipstick, blush and also one of his eyeliners on himself was interesting.

Agree.  The neck and hands almost always give away a person's age.  I don't believe 99% of what these "beauty experts" spout.

Surgery and death are the only things that stop aging.

I don't care what people do to make themselves feel better. Many go waaaaaay too far and look fake. In the end, it's up to them.

All of the unkind posts say much more about the authors than the subject(s).  No respect.

I understand those who say plastic surgery and skin care are not the same.  But at the very least there should be a prominent disclaimer while the vendor is on stating that he/she has had procedures done.  Their skin would not look the way it does--wrinkle free, no sags, etc.--without surgery and to imply otherwise is bogus.

Did you watch any of the Skinn presentations this past weekend?  Dimitri did exactly that on the several occasions that I watched. He said only surgery would garner certain results that skincare never could.  Skincare may help, but it's not going to do anything about fat bags under the eyes.  And I think he said something about filler in his "11's".

As for him wearing a wig, is there proof or is it more presumption?  He had hair transplant surgery a number of years ago.  But again - don't know, don't care.

I am not opposed to anyone who wants surgery to improve their appearance--if ya got the cash--then go for it!!! Does not affect my life  at all. And if you think any skincare product will change your skin issues/ appearance miraculously  by what the vendors claim, --then go for it----I rarely fall for those those claims anymore, most, if not all are pure hype anyway. ----I use what I know will work for me whether it be a certain brand or a  glob of vaseline.
