Of course not. That would be comparing apples to oranges.
Plastic surgery affects the underlying facial muscles.
Skin care products are topical applications and do not affect the facial muscles ... at all.

They're in a conundrum: they can't selll their products with sagging, wrinkled, old looking faces, and they can't tell people their product will correct the same thing.

I'm always surprised when many say they only use the "basics" and then list 3-4 things they do for skincare.
I think most does have to do with genes and not baking in the sun and other health things.
My mother was a few months from 99 when she died after a fall and her face never did have a lot of wrinkles. Neither did my aunts. I know my mother used a moisturizer, I think some drugstore one.
Some people will always just look younger and some just will not. Some will have more wrinkles and some less.
I think just feeling and looking what makes you feel good about ourselves is the way to go, wrinkles or not. I don't think wrinkles are ugly but like others I do think plastic looking stepford wives huge lips and cheeks, smooth plastic foreheads are not attractive at all to me. It's alarming.
If those that have surgery or other things for enhancements are brave enough have enough money to do it, I hope they like it and makes them happy. I just hope not everyone starts looking the same,
or worse looks like they never did before even when they were pretty to start with, or have procedures go very wrong.
I've never found anything that makes very much difference in terms of improvement.
Maybe years ago when I tried Elysee? from HSN and thought I did see some difference. But still not enough to keep buying it every month forever.
Ok, the end. I know many have very strong feelings about this, and very different opinions.

Well plastic surgery does nothing to the skin. It changes the shape of your face. Not the skin. Good genes make beautiful skin. Retinal reduces wrinkles. That is science. Every skin care line has that. When you get old, you get that. Good genes doesn't help you for wrinkles.

Now come on people, if their skincare really did what the say, they would not have plastic surgery , and if you don't think that you are gulable.

Actually good genes do help a lot, and most with how many wrinkles some have. That is why some are so different in how they age, not just, or especially not because of the skin care they use.
I agree, if all this expensive skin care was so miraculous and makes such an improvement, the ones who sell it wouldn't need to got to such drastic plastic surgery lengths.
But people want to believe and the skin care industry makes tons of money off those that do.

No issues with anyone having plastic surgery including those who are selling skin care. Having subtle plastic surgeries myself when seeing celebrities unrecognizable or features destroyed wonder if they ever regret their choice. I can't imagine looking in the mirror gasping at my face in horror, and I'm grateful that's not been my experience. We have many choices with skin care treatments live and let live. OT: Lauren Sanchez, Last week in my news feed there was an article about her with photos before she had her surgeries she was beautiful. Lauren Sanchez, example money can ruin your face and features too.

Sometimes when vendors show their "before and afters", I can't see very much difference and even have to check which is before and after there is so little difference ... and after four weeks.
Then I look at the cost. No way am I going to pay that much for so little a difference.
Aside from retinol, there is very little difference.
The best you can do for your skin in older ages is to have a good cleanser, a good exfoliator you can use daily, and a nice moisturizer. And Retinol.

I understand those who say plastic surgery and skin care are not the same. But at the very least there should be a prominent disclaimer while the vendor is on stating that he/she has had procedures done. Their skin would not look the way it does--wrinkle free, no sags, etc.--without surgery and to imply otherwise is bogus.

Dimitri obviously he's had plastic surgeries last night unwatchable speaking for me. Between his face and manic behavior my viewing was brief.
