CAN'T FIND THE COMP. THREAD - NEED HELP APPLEMAC BOOK OR???

I was steadfast in getting my second Dell PC, as i had good experience, but a computer technician, very smart, advises my friend in NY that the AppleMac Book is the best or any other Apple product. Was planning to spend $800, have a brand new screen and miserable new HP printer, and now what??? And read last night so much bad news on the Dell...

Wanted to make this purchase to deduct it from my taxes next year as I need it for work.

Any wisdom ladies, I'd appreciate it a lot...
