@JillyMarieOk I think I am starting to get your point....I agree this happens all too often and I really hope that people will always be shocked and saddened. It does seem that it has become easier for people to move on from each tragic event,Disgusted that nothing changes and nothing is done after we all express our shock and sorrow.

@dex Thoughts and prayers is the stock phrase after these tragedies. All anyone does is send thoughts and prayers, but real action to STOP the carnage never happens. It's not meant as disprespectful. It's meant to say- your thoughts and prayers don't do anything but enable this to keep happening.

@dex . Perhaps it's because that's what our politicians will say...they will offer endless "Thoughts & Prayers" and never anything of substance to help make these tragedies end. By offereing only T&P it will continue as it has.
The people have spoken. We the people just had an opportunity to do something and the majority apparently is happy with the status quo.
I completely disagree, respectfully.

It starts with stricter laws on gun control. Not the answer, but a start.

We all can be at our daily lives, and this can happen, we are not safe .

The shooting was terrible. Terrible and commonplace. Perhaps we need an emoji for these weekly events? Or just stop reporting them.
Or you could just stick your head in the sand and pretend it doesn't happen.
Isn't that what we are doing as a nation?
Please don't turn this thread into a political debate, it will just cause the thread to be deleted.
Maybe the more that our citizens are informed of these tragedies, change will happen in the right place, which sure isn't here.
