Yes, I have seen that "option", but I have NEVER taken it. PAY someone NOT to break my purchase? Sounds more like blackmail than "insurance"...

I pay that only to the Alaska fisherie where I get seafood. If it gets hot or delayed and thaws, then I get free replacement.
I have never selected that option on anything else.

I havent seen that yet, but I think its a scam. I agree with Ms IMAC. Something smells fishy to me.

What bothered me is that it was put on the order and if I hadn't looked at the order closely I would have been charged. If they said it was for insurance then that would be different. I never ran into it before and I order a lot online. I understand packages being stolen but I live on a private road and follow delivery on my phone. During the holidays UPS delivered two packages of mine to a neighbor, she wasn't home, so I just took them. This never happened before ever and the value was higher. Guess it must of been maybe temps for the holidays. When it said it was delivered and it wasn't by my front door I looked to two neighbors and there they were.

Oki said, yes I buy fish from Alaska, and the fee is 19.95 You can opt off. But I don't trust FedEx all the time, because over the last two years they have delivered too,late, and company had to send new. This was the package is guaranteed to get there overnight. I do buy enough fish so I don't pay shipping, which can be expensive.
