Because of the deep freeze going on, water pipes are bursting all over the place.
It's a good time to be a plumber, as they will be kept busy for some time.
They will be making bank with overtime.

So sorry to hear that. We're in very cold temperatures too. I just keep the termostat set to 70 and keep it there. Now, we have two more in the structure so I keep those on 65 or 60 the lowest.
The temperature sometimes does get severe by us but just not now. It's hanging in the low 30s. Yesterday it was in the 40s. Crazy.
I think in places like Texas and points south, they're not used to this kind of thing.
Hope it gets rectified quickly.

You misunderstood.
*I* do not have any busted water pipes.
I live in California.
But other people who do live where it has been terribly cold are experiencing busted pipes, and THAT is where the plumbers will be making money.

So many businesses and houses around here are having very expensive damage from water lines breaking and flooding the house or business.
In addition to thousands of homes, many public buildings, offices, school buildings and even shopping centers have received extensive damage. People are being relocated out of their houses and the police and fire are on constant calls for water shutoff.
It's not plumbers getting some extra cash. It is a major natural disaster and sometimes a matter of survival.
And we are sure rolling blackouts will continue today.

Maybe I'm the only one who didn't think she meant herself. But then I didn't get out of bed on the wrong side this morning.

@shaggygirl You and I read the same post the same way. I just reread to see if I had missed her point. No call for, personal assistance.

I didn't get the impression that the OP was referring to herself and certainly not asking for help for herself.

My apologies.
I forgot that I have to put in every post that I make that I live in California.
I figured that by putting because of the deep freeze, people would use logic and know that Texas was and still is, in that deep freeze.
This post was never about me.
But I guess I have to spell things out for you.
I will try to remember to do that from now on.
How about this?
I live the the state of California.
I do not have any broken water pipes.
I am fine.
The poor people living in Texas and other states that are caught in the deep freeze, are now experiencing busted water pipes.
The plumbers in the state of Texas and other states going through the deep freeze, will be making lots of money answering calls to fix those busted pipes, that broke because of the deep freeze in the state of Texas as well as the other states caught in the deep freeze.
I live in the state of California.
I am not affected by the deep freeze.
My pipes are fine.
My pipes are not broken.
Is that better and more clear, and more easily understood, that it's about the people caught in the deep freeze, and not about me, and never was?
