I have been burning candles in my den, every day for about the last 2 weeks. Yesterday, I noticed my ceiling fan remote looked dirty, so I wiped it off. Then, I cleaned my TV screen and I couldn't believe the black soot/grease I was seeing. I took a microfiber cloth and soaked it with alcohol (the rubbing kind) and cleaned the TV, my computer, all the picture frames, everything I could - it was incredible.
I used 3 cloths and threw them away when I was finished cleaning. This soot was on all my remotes, flower pots, everything. Then, I started thinking that I was breathing this stuff in??? LOL Who woulda thunk?????
Is this an anomaly or has anyone else had to do this too??? I will never light another candle. Now, I'm looking up at the corners of the ceiling and wonder if those walls have all this soot on them too.
