Is anyone using budget software to track expenses, etc.?  Any recommendations are welcome; I'm thinking of trying one but I want something free.

Re: Budget Software anyone?

If you have a spreadsheet program (Excel, Numbers), there are numerous templates already within those programs. I found one that worked for 90% of what I wanted to do and modified it. I don't have a budget, but I've tracked every penney that I spend for many years. Using the spreadsheet really helped identify areas where I might be (in my opinion) spending too much. It also gives me year-over-year comparisons and calculates my charitable donations based on the percentage of income that I've allocated.

I also have used my Excel spreadsheets. As a matter of fact, for many years I used it to track my Schedule A itemizations.

If u r not Excel savvy, I used to read about a free program called Mint (it was mentioned on some financial shows). Maybe someone here has heard or used Mint and can offer an opinion.
