Through early January. I just read it on Facebook.

Why is it, when I have a 50/50 guess at something, I'm always 100% wrong?

Such a shame.  I feel bad for all those actors who had been cast and were rehearsing for a show that never went on.  Some of them may never get that chance again.

Re: Broadway closed...

This decision is consonant with the recent one by the Kennedy Center.

It hurts, yes, but it is prudent to do at this time.  Agree that some may have lost their one "big chance."  I hope that is not so, but life is weird and unfair.

My additional concern is that the theatre, concerts, movies, etc., may never return to what they were -- at least not in the remainder of my lifetime.  Hope all comes back someday, though.

I thought January 3, 2021 was the date they were offering refunds up to...so far. Then they're considering reopening rollout dates in early 2021.

Considering how you sit elbow to elbow, and people in the past would attend while coughing up a lung, I think it will be even longer than that before people feel comfortable attending. Even if they developed a reliable vaccine. Advance ticket sales will also play into it.

So so sad. I was so looking forward to seeing Hugh Jackman. I understand this closing as the seats could not be any closer to the person next to you in most theaters. Not to mention the actors on stage so very close to each other.

That is a real shame even though I do not live in NY.  Some people don't take this COVID 19 seriously but they will when they get it.

I think that drumbeat has run its course.  We all are aware of the virus and consequences.  Over and over and over again............................

So many people out of work and lives devistated.......and people sit there "that is a good decision".  Have to wonder

@Janey2   Did you have tickets already for The Music Man?  We had tickets for October and last week they were changed to May.  All ticket holders were assigned a new date.  Same day of the week -- same seats.  Who knows it it will really happen or if we will want to go if it does -- but I thought that was a good way of handling the situation for now.
