A few days ago I asked Toronto Zoo about Kiko and if there are plans to install a livecam.
This is the reply to my inquiry:
Unfortunately at this time we do not have a webcam within our indoor and outdoor giraffe habitats. However, our Zoo Keeper Andy will keep Kiko fans up-to-date on our YouTube channel with a series of Keeper Talks. You can watch the first one here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Myw_ZpHoaxo

Toronto Zoo also posted the following on their FB page ![]()
After arriving on May 29th from Greenville Zoo, Kiko the Masai giraffe has been settling in nicely in the African Savanna. Watch as our Keeper Andy talks about how Kiko is doing here at his new home, and learn more about the newest member of our giraffe family here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Myw_ZpHoaxo.
Kiko is still under a quarantine period and is not viewable to the public, however we will keep Kiko fans up-to-date here on our Facebook page when his quarantine period is over.

Awww Marp, he's grown into such a handsome giraffe :-)

Thanks, @Marp! I just looked at the Toronto Zoo site a couple of days ago and also checked out their Facebook page. I was surprised to see they didn't have a livecam feature. I'm glad you took the time to follow up and contact them, and I think I'll do the same. I hope they hear from plenty of Kiko fans, and perhaps we'll get to see more of that little fellow.

Hi fans,
For all of you who have been asking for an update on our new male giraffe Kiko from Greenville Zoo, he is doing great, however not yet joined our girls, Mstari and Twiga. With his recent move, he's been a little shy, and while he's responding great to his new keepers and surroundings, we've not yet been able to collect a blood sample to clear him from quarantine as per the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) requirements. Our Vets have been taking time to visit him daily so he can get to know them better and hopefully facilitate this process very soon. One of our keepers has taken some new video of Kiko, which we hope to share with you this week. Thank you for all your continued interest and comments!

I'm asking Kiko watchers that have FB to take the time to at least like any Kiko updates and perhaps leave a brief comment as a way to show Toronto Zoo that interest in Kiko from the States has not waned.
It would be nice if we could get updates on a monthly basis but I think the only way that will happen is if Toronto Zoo knows people are still following Kiko.
