Since I already had explained the comparison in post 134, it should have been clear. There was nothing "sick" about it.

I was speaking with an acquaintance that had worked as a nurse in a maternity ward and recently retired so I asked her about this. She did say that new mothers are encouraged to set up a feeding schedule rather than just feeding them at random times. She also said they are told to feed in a calm quiet setting with soft music for this "bonding". At first more feedings are needed but as they get older there is more and more time between feedings so why wouldn't any mother plan for this so she would not have to feed in public or would know to have a towel or blanket with her to cover. It's a simple thing and no one is saying no your baby must starve and surely will by waiting a bit longer. Eating out is a choice, and all the noise and chaos of restaurants cannot be the best place to calmly feed and bond with the child! So any mother who really cares about this special "bonding" surely does not have her baby's best interest in mind!! I can't imagine any mother would on top of everything else necessary for a baby want to inconvenience herself and upset the baby by taking the child to such a noisy venue to eat!! To me it's like those that want their dogs/animals to be emotional support and be able to take them anywhere but don't have them properly trained!!

That type of an opinion will become a dying breed, thankfully
I would agree that bullfighting is obscene.
And I wouldn't care to be "grouped" in Italy. (how did Italy get singled out?)

I think she might mean groped? Italian men used to be known as pinchers. I don't know if they still are?

I think many breastfeeding moms do cover up and want to draw little attention to themselves as possible. Years ago I was at Applebee's and there was a mom feeding her baby. She had him covered up with a blanket. Nobody paid attention to it. But I definitely think there are some moms who take advantage of the growing acceptance and will whip out a boob anywhere, anytime. I also think how you ask a mom to cover up also sets the tone. If this manager quietly and discreetly asked her to cover up because others were complaining and she was the one making a scene, I wouldn't side with her. People do make victims and martyrs of themselves.

Forty years ago my sister-in-law was told by her doctor to drink a glass of wine while she was nursing. The times change and your friend is out of touch. Your comments indicate that you have never breastfed a child and your comparison of one to an animal is absurd.

Parents rarely give a rip about what their babies/toddlers/kids do in public. Let that kid run screaming in every restaurant, retail store, run under racks and don't care about their public messes.
Parents don't know how to use the word "NO".
I think I know where it starts...just whip that boob out anywhere anytime because it's all about ME......

I think that some day the media will be reporting that a person took explicit pictures, spent too much time observing a woman or stalking her as a result. There are many sick people and this type of exposure could trigger them.A simple cover with a blanket gives privacy during a special bonding moment that belongs only to the parents and child.
