Well it's done. Brandi crossed the bridge @ 5:00 PM today. I spent the afternoon with her and then my hubby came home and we made the trip. There were a lot of tears but it was very peaceful at the end. Brandi's breathing had been so bad and when the 1st shot was given to relax her I could see how much more peaceful she looked. Once I saw that look and saw the look she gave me before everything started happening I do feel better about my decision. It was time. I told her I loved her, and to make sure & greet all her brothers & sisters at the bridge. My hubby was so great and even shed some tears himself which is so hard for a guy to do. We brought her home & buried her in our back yard (with her favorite blanket) where she loved to spend her time sunning & roaming around. I must say the house is so much emptier feeling (even though I do have 2 cats) but it's different without her. All of her toys and blankets are here & it's hard to look at them. I'm thinking about staying home tomorrow and going through her things & looking at pictures and just having a "memory day". Thanks to everyone for your kind comments, thoughts, & poems. It was still a hard day but it was made a little easier with everyone's thoughts & prayers.
