Re: Boy, Fall Did Arrive On Time Here.

@catter70   No long johns yet.  It will warm up again, not 85/90, but warmer than it is now.

We have had Hallowwes were kids were in Tee shirts under their costumes and then ones where we have snow.

Oct and Nov are a *rap shoot.  Thanksgiving of 2015 we had windows open it was so warm, grass was still green.

When the Fall arrives, the leaves start to fall, the air is cooler, my energy level rises, I am motivated to be out and about and I happily say good bye to the hot/humid weather!

My back deck thermometer says 38 degrees and it’s wet and foggy.

My husband set the thermostat to 58 and while he’s running errands this morning I turned it up to 74.

Remind me to set it back to 58 before he gets home.

I'm in the midlands of South Carolina--94 right now, with a "feels like" of 98!

However, tomorrow the high is supposed to be 78...go figure. Then it will be in the 80's for the next week.

Re: Boy, Fall Did Arrive On Time Here.

We are in the upper 90's all this week.  I put my wooden witch out Sunday on my front door.  The sun was beating down on so bad in the afternoon yesterday that her legs fell off.   The little skirt is still attached so I think I will hang up next to the rest of the body because it looks a bit scarier that way.   Glue just melted away.

90 here (feels like 97) will still be warm here for some time - I think going into the mid 80s this weekend.

@beckyb1012   I'm sorry about your witch, good gravy it is hot when it can kill a witch.

Come to think of it I felt that way this summer when our temps and humidity felt like Satan's waiting room.  Too hot for me.

It did remind me of that scene in Wizard of Oz where the witches legs are sticking out from under the house and the other scene with the line "I'm melting, I'm melting."

Thermostat set at 58 is low and cold …and I am dressed like an Eskimo.

It isn’t about money either, my husband and doggo fur babies just like the cold (cat fur babies not so much).

It did warm up here; it’s now 43 degrees outside at 2pm, but wet and can’t see 50 feet in front of you because the fog is so thick.

Usually get snow up here in September. You’d think that someone who grew up in the Dolomites would like this weather. You’d be wrong. lol

When I was young I liked it a lot. I’m 76 now and Brrrrrrr.
