Almost bought some thin shoulder pads yesterday but decided they weren't the ones I want...but am still looking everywhere for some like the Kirkwood ones I had years ago. They make such a difference in the way my tops look; if you know where to get thin ones, I am all ears! Don't want the silicone ones.

Would love to be able to use canned soups or frozen dinners once in a while. ....just too much sodium for either of us. If I need a break, we will just have breakfast for dinner which means cereal, yogurt and fruit.

I just bought a Frigidaire refrigerator. It will replace a GE that we have had for 30 years. The GE is still working, but is a little noisier now. We just did not want to wait until the GE stopped working and lose a lot of food. Also, some appliances have been

taking a long time for delivery this past year. Our new Frigidaire

was in the warehouse at Home Depot and will be delivered next week. We don't expect the new one to last 30 years. They just don't make appliances to last anymore than 10-15 years now.

A new outside front doormat.

I've been holding onto the very old Don Aslett Astroturf doormat that works well, is heavy, and doesn't blow away, but has quite a few broken "blades." Also, my dog hates stepping onto it. It probably feels prickly on her feet.

LED light bulbs and two lampshades.  Our local high end lighting store is closing after 70 years in business.  I took advantage of their 70% off sale.  I haven't bought light bulbs for a while and the new types are quite expensive.  They say they last for years and lower costs.  Guess I'm all set for quite some time.

@AKgirl2   Sometimes you can find them at Cracker Barrel.  I have also picked some up if I am visiting my brother in the Pittsburgh area.  Might be a regional thing for availability.    They are delicious.   🤗

A few days ago I went to our local candy store (a good one) and bought a custom box (by me) of 12 pieces of handmade chocolates, all dark chocolate and because I'm in a summer tourist area, all fresh.

I don't regularly buy candy for myself. I'll eat a couple each week. Already ate an orange cream -- it was wonderful.
